BRAND NEW LGB#22604 Shoema Diesel Locomotive with realistic European Diesel Sounds! I have installed a brand new LGB DC/DCC Power Decoder and LGB Digital Sound System. This locomotive can be run by either traditional DC power or DCC/MTS digital power. The original LGB company manufactured this locomotive in Germany and it's rare to find this model any more as brand new. This locomotive was inported from a European LGB Dealer and we custom-installed a brand new LGB 55021 DC/DCC/MTS PowerDecoder II and LGB 65002 European Diesel Digital Sound System and added a new upgraded 2 inch speaker that's larger and better quality than the LGB Sound Unit speaker. Note the sound-emitting holes in the locomotive's rear compartment that were also custom-installed with metal vent holes to provide great sound quality.
The installed LGB 55021 Decoder contains Back-EMF Circuitry that provides the locomotive with steady speed on curves and grades. Locomotive has directional lighting and constant light in the engineer's cab, and lights may be turned on or off with the DCC controls. Comes with original box and LGB owner's manual and the LGB decoder and sound decoder owner's manuals. Both Decoders are set to DCC Address 3 but may be reprogrammed with your DCC operating equipment.
DC Power operations: The diesel motor starting and operating sound will be heard, horn sounds when locomotive starts moving, and after stopping for 45 seconds, the air release sound occurs. Sound volume is controlled by a turn knob installed under the locomotive. An LGB 65012 Sound Unit Function Trigger is NOT installed in the underside motor block..........if the buyer wants it installed for DC power operations, there will be an additional $25 charge to the selling price. The LGB 65012 Unit allows the horn and bell to be activated when the locomotive passes over a activation magnet placed onto the track ties (left side = bell; right side = horn). Four activation magnets with "poster tak" removable adhesive for affixing the magnets to the track ties will also be provided to the buyer to use with the LGB 65012 Sound Activation Unit.
DCC/MTS Power operations: The full features of the sound system are available with DCC operations. The Sound System features the diesel motor starting and operating, and individual control of bell, horn, braking sounds, compressor, air pressure relief valve, German "all aboard" announcement, diesel motor on/off, and all sound on/off. The sound volume is controlled by an adjustment nob that extends from the front engine compartment and accessible underneath the locomotive......no need to reprogram the sound decoder's CV to adjust the sound level. While use of the LGB 65012 Sound Function Trigger, if installed, is not required to be used for activating the locomotive's horn and bell for DCC power operations, this feature can be used, if desired.
DCC/MTS operations: The locomotive can be operated using the LGB MTS Central Station or other DCC systems such as the Piko or Massoth DCC Central Station (you also need a 5 amp DC power supply to power the Central Station). Massoth Germany is the manufacturer of the LGB MTS II/II, and Piko and Massoth DCC systems.......the components are generally operationally interchangeable between these brands. Note: When adding a DCC decoder, the power control switch in the engineer's cabin is no longer used or functional. When operating in DCC power, you control the locomotive speed and lights and sound system through your LGB or Piko or Massoth Navigator hand held controller.
Seller's 12 Months Locomotive Sound System Warranty: If the locomotive's installed LGB power/sound decoder system should need repair during the 12 months after the purchase date, the seller will attempt to repair it at no LABOR cost to the buyer.......the buyer pays for repair parts and/or replacement decoder if required. If the seller determines that either of the LGB decoders is defective and if LGB will replace it under their manufacturer warranty at no cost, then the buyer will not be charged for the cost of the replacement decoder. Buyer pays for the locomotive shipping costs to the seller and back to the buyer.
